English week
Introduction
English Week was held from 17th to 21st November 2008. The theme of the English Week this year, ¡¥Everything is Possible with Imaginations¡¦ echoed with the film we have all watched in English classes: The Spiderwick Chronicles. This movie is adapted from a series of children literature by Holly Black, one of the most popular writers of novels for children and young adults. The Spiderwick Chronicles is about the adventurous experience of three children with a huge need of imaginations and dreams. Before we introduce them one by one, let¡¦s take a look at what the film The Spiderwick Chronicles is about.

Spiderwick Chronicles
The story happens in a family with the Grace family when they move into an ancient house of their ancestors, strange things happen one after another. Jared soon discovers a magic book, which contains unbelievable truth of the Spiderwick Estate: a secret world with fantastical creatures hides within our own. He finds the Field Guide fascinating but such discovery has also aroused the interest of the goblins who want to know the secrets and take control of the world! Jared, his sister and his twin brother are pulled into an unforgettable adventure as they try to protect the secrets of the book ¡K

Valentine¡¦s Day Activities
To celebrate Valentine¡¦s Day on the 14th February, English Department has organized two competitions for students to send their tokens of love to their loved ones and learn English through meaningful activities in the meantime.

Valentine¡¦s Card Design Competition
In this activity, junior form students designed their Valentine¡¦s Cards with love messages written in English. Many of our students have shown their creativity and potentials in design and drawing.
